After lots of rain, we lucked out for Elia and Tim’s romantic destination wedding in Sonoma. With the sun shining, they were married at the historic Holy Family Mission Church in Rutherford, with reception to follow at Ramekins in Sonoma. I can’t say enough good things about the staff at Ramekins!! It’s always WONDERFUL as a wedding photographer when you have friendly and conscientious vendors to work with… now, here are a few favorites from the day!

There is nothing more miraculous to me than a newborn baby. I love babies and children of all ages, but I am always amazed by newborns. Just a week prior to this photograph, baby Tanner was still nestled inside his mother’s body….looking just the same, and about the same size. I’ll be photographing him throughout the year, so stay tuned and watch him grow!

I discovered this gorgeous church when location hunting for an upcoming Monterey Wedding. Of course, I was stunned by it’s beauty. I have since learned that The San Carlos Cathedral is the oldest continuously functioning church and the first stone building in the State of California!! It was founded in 1770 as the cornerstone of a Mission. The Mission was later moved to Carmel, but the church remained as a Royal Chapel for the soldiers guarding the Spanish Presidio of Monterey. The present sandstone church was completed in 1794, and it was California’s first Cathedral.

Here’s a sneak peek from Erika’s super fun and sexy maternity session. What a gorgeous pregnant woman she is!! Since I photographed Erika and Sean’s Engagement Session and their Sonoma Wedding, It was especially fun to be a part of this stage in their lives! Fabulous Hair Design by Tiffany Concklin with Tresses Studio Salon in Roseville. She was a true rock star on this shoot, and it wouldn’t have been the same without her.

I Loved this intimate destination wedding at Barn Diva in Healdsburg! We started off at h2hotel directly across the street…..A green hotel with eco-chic rooms. h2hotel is home to the ultra hip Spoonbar, featuring a menu with ingredients grown and produced in Northern California. Yum!

We had a blast on a recent trip to New York! We made it there to see the last of the season’s first snow……. Jake was making snowballs as we made our way to the car at JFK ( at 11pm )
Jake at SFO……snow jacket and snow boots already on and ready to go…… and gloves to his side. He reminded me several times that he had only been to the snow once in his ENTIRE life!
